Jenni Pompi has called Prince George’s County home for more than 25 years and has lived in Greenbelt with her husband, Nelson, and their two sons since 2018. After getting involved with Greenbelt Little League and local camps, her family knew Greenbelt was where they wanted to put down roots. Jenni is the proud parent of Oscar, a Promise Scholar studying music at Prince George’s Community College, and Miles, a junior in the International Baccalaureate program at Parkdale High School. Their dog, Rocket, is a beloved neighborhood ambassador.

A proud graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in journalism and women’s studies, Jenni works as an editor at a nonprofit membership association in Annapolis. In her free time, Jenni enjoys reading, playing board games with her family, hosting neighbors and friends, crocheting, and relaxing outdoors on her patio.

Since being elected to City Council, Jenni has championed policies rooted in equity, inclusion, and safety. She was instrumental in advancing all-resident voting, ensuring the Greenbelt Police cannot be used for civil immigration enforcement, and authoring the Council’s letter and resolution reaffirming Greenbelt’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A 2024 graduate of the Greenbelt Citizen’s Police Academy, she has also prioritized public safety while protecting the rights of all residents.

Jenni is known for her responsiveness and commitment to constituent services. From resolving water main breaks, to advocating for renters in unsafe housing, to improving pedestrian safety with better signage, she has worked tirelessly to deliver results for Greenbelt residents.

Looking ahead, Jenni's priorities include making Greenbelt more affordable, preserving the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, planning for the future of the Armory property, expanding EV infrastructure, improving pedestrian and bicycle safety, and ensuring Greenbelt remains a safe, welcoming, and prosperous city for all.
